Meet Ryan North

Ryan North is the co-founder of One Big Happy Home and creator of The Empowered Parent Podcast, a popular resource offering practical strategies for raising children with trauma and attachment issues.
A recognized expert on childhood trauma and its impact on children, Ryan has developed training materials and programs through One Big Happy Home to educate parents, schools, churches, and child-placing agencies on trauma-informed care and crisis intervention. He is an author, TBRI Practitioner, and Certified Praesidium Guardian.
In addition to his expertise in trauma, Ryan is passionate about leadership and leadership development. Drawing on principles from neuroscience, scripture, and psychology, he guides leaders to build resilient, empathetic teams and foster environments that promote growth and psychological safety. His work in leadership development extends to creating programs that equip leaders with practical tools to handle complex challenges in today’s dynamic workplaces.
